Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated IT Security Specialist to join our team and safeguard our digital assets. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing security measures that protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards. As a key player in our cybersecurity efforts, you will monitor our network for security breaches and respond promptly to incidents. You’ll also work closely with our IT and development teams to incorporate security best practices across all systems and applications. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Security Strategies: Design and enforce IT security policies, standards, and procedures to protect the organization’s information assets.
Conduct Security Audits: Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability tests to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
Monitor Network Traffic: Continuously monitor network activity to detect unusual patterns and investigate potential security breaches.
Manage Security Tools: Administer security tools, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems, to ensure optimal performance and protection.
Collaborate with IT Teams: Work with IT and development teams to integrate security practices into system designs and operational processes.
Respond to Security Incidents: Lead incident response efforts, conduct investigations, and implement recovery measures following security breaches.
Stay Updated on Security Trends: Keep abreast of the latest security threats, trends, and technologies to proactively address emerging risks.

Qualifications:

Proven Success in Cybersecurity: Demonstrated experience in IT security roles, with a track record of effectively managing cybersecurity operations.
Relevant Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, along with relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
Strong Skills in Security Technologies: Proficiency in managing security tools and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and encryption solutions.
Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify vulnerabilities and develop effective security solutions.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-security standards.
Effective Communication: Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
